Robert “Robbie” John Luiso of Harrison, who owned and operated the Copacabanna Brazilian Steakhouse in Port Chester, died suddenly on Friday, March 30.
Born in Port Chester on Dec. 31, 1970, Luiso looked up to his father, who gave him his direction in life and was his shining star who he continuously admired.
Just like his father, Luiso started his business career owning a bakery and investing in real estate. He developed into a successful restaurateur and entrepreneur with a tireless work ethic.
Well-renowned in the food service industry, Luiso had many friends. He exemplified loyalty and was the first to make his friends and guests feel welcome and most of all special. His personality was larger than life and he shared his love unselfishly.
Aside from his many successes, his real passion in life was family. He loved to spend time with family and friends and is fondly remembered as a loving, caring and generous man.
Luiso was the son of Joseph Luiso (wife Regina), brother of Trevor Luiso (wife Sonia), Tabatha Marraccini (husband Anthony), Amanda Mineo (husband Charles), Alexa Luiso, Ashley Luiso, Aly Luiso, Joie Luiso and John Luiso; he was the nephew of Angelo Luiso, Anthony Luiso and Isabelle Karakas.He was also the uncle of Anthony, Joseph, Philip, Gabriela, Adriana, Trevor, Michael, Nicholas and Christopher.
A wake has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 4 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Rd. in Mamaroneck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5 at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, followed by burial at Ferncliff Cemetery.
